Released on October 17, 2023 via a timed drawing on KAWSONE at 12 p.m. ET, BETTER KNOWING is a brushed wooden edition that depicts COMPANION seated cross-legged, head tilted down in a quiet, introspective pose. The character holding its’ nose ties its likeness to his earlier Small Lie sculpture. Crafted in afrormosia wood and standing approximately 10 inches tall, the sculpture was issued in an edition of 100, hand-signed and numbered, and presented with a certificate of authenticity.

Retail priced at $14,000, the piece was teased in London during Frieze week and then opened to international buyers through KAWSONE (where eligible). Its compact scale and subdued finish place it squarely alongside KAWS’s other small-format wood works, but the contemplative posture gives it a distinct, self-contained presence that collectors have gravitated toward.
