KAWS x Uniqlo x Peanuts- 2018
In 2017, KAWS and Uniqlo’s UT line introduced a Peanuts collection that brought X-eyed Snoopy and friends to global retail, pairing accessible apparel with true collector bait in the form of plush toys. The first wave arrived in April, followed by a monochrome follow-up later that year.
Apparel Capsule (2017)
The UT lineup included adult and kids graphic tees, totes, and room shoes featuring KAWS-styled Peanuts art. It was built for reach and everyday wear, with standard Uniqlo pricing. (1)
Plush Release (2017)
The plush was Snoopy only, offered in two colorways, white and all-black, across two sizes: Small at 10.5 inches for $19.90 and Medium at approximately 22 inches for $39.90. Pricing & Collectibility
Retail was $19.90 for Small and $39.90 for Medium. Complete pairs and tagged Medium plushes now trade well above retail, with steady demand across major resale platforms due to the clear character tie-in and KAWS’ name recognition. (1, 4)
Why It Matters
This collaboration showed how a mass retailer could still yield a clean, collectible object that fits neatly into a KAWS collector log. The Snoopy plushes, especially the all-black Medium, have become the lasting keepsakes from the project.
