Released in 2003, the Kubrick by KAWS × Mad Hectic reinvents the classic 400% Medicom vinyl with a reflective silver Companion-style figure standing approximately 10 inches tall in a collectible limited run.
Produced by Medicom Toy for Mad Hectic, this 400% silver Kubrick takes KAWS’s puffy CHUM language and maps it onto the blocky Kubrick silhouette. The figure carries the trademark skull head with X-eyes and a ribbed, rounded torso that gives the shiny finish some real presence for its size.
Released in Japan through HECTIC in 2003, the piece sits in an edition of 500 and comes stamped rather than hand-numbered. It is roughly 10 inches tall with the usual 400% stance, a tidy snapshot of early-2000s Tokyo street culture meeting designer toys in a way that still feels crisp and deliberate.
