Produced for KAWS: CLEAN SLATE at Shanghai Times Square (May 15–31, 2015), the COMPANION 16-inch plush was KAWS’s first official plush toy. Released in partnership with Lane Crawford and AllRightsReserved, it came boxed and featured the brown COMPANION with embroidered details. Specs documented by primary listings place it at roughly 16.5 × 8.5 × 4 in in polyester, with an edition of 1,000 and an embroidered signature on the underside of the foot.

The plush launched alongside a small Lane Crawford capsule (tees, cushions, bags) tied to the exhibition, and quickly became the collector standout from that retail offering. It remains the key early plush entry in KAWS’s collector timeline, predating the broader wave of plush releases that followed in later years.
