The Twins features two stylized female characters posed side by side, both with exaggerated proportions and minimalist expressions. One figure bears KAWS’ signature "X" eyes and skull-like features, while the other is more human-like. The set was offered in three colorways: pink, gray, and brown, with the pink version releasing first. Some editions featured a glitter treatment that added a playful, surreal shimmer to the figures. The two characters were sculpted to complement each other, offering contrast not only in form but also in surface detail.

This release marked one of KAWS’ most distinctive departures from his usual male-centered figure design. Partnering with Todd James brought a different perspective into the mix, blending James’ bold cartoon style with KAWS’ visual vocabulary. The Twins stood out at the time for how it pushed the boundaries of the collectible toy medium, exploring themes of identity, duality, and gender in a format that still feels fresh nearly two decades later. It remains one of the more conceptually unique pieces in the KAWS vinyl archive.
