Cat Teeth Bank arrived during the OriginalFake era, taking KAWS’s graphic vocabulary, X-eyes and a jagged grin, and building it into a functional object that still reads like sculpture. The first drop landed in February 2007 in Black and Green, sold through OriginalFake and KAWSONE, with each color limited to 400 pieces and sized to sit comfortably on a shelf or desk.
A second wave followed in March 2007 that expanded the palette, Blue and Yellow confirmed at launch and Orange added in the same release window, all keeping the 5-inch cubic footprint and the accessible $58 price. Produced by Medicom Toy with OriginalFake, each bank is stamped on the underside, a useful tell for identifying first-run pieces.
