KAWS Fellows was the first "cut open" figure we've seen in a while from KAWS, harking back to his "Flayed" era of Companions and various artworks that featured dismembered body parts of his characters. The Fellows vinyl figure features the headless body of a BFF, carrying the head of a Companion, while stepping on the severed arm of a Chum.

The color sets for this release tie back to the KAWS: Family era of color combinations. The all black variant kept things simple, while the pink variant featured a headless Pink BFF holding a Grey Companion head and stepping on a Pink Chum arm. The blue variant paired a headless Blue BFF with a Brown Companion head, stepping on a White Chum arm.

The figure released exclusively on KAWSONE and at Space K Korea, where the KAWS exhibition "Friends and Neighbors" debuted it. Worth noting, this release wasn't accompanied by a larger bronze statue or inflatable installation. It was presented only as the vinyl figure itself.

The set sold out completely within the first ten minutes of its release at 12:00 PM EST, with Blue selling out first, followed by Black and Pink.
